Illegal Mexican Immigrants

Yep, here I go again, up on my soapbox about the illegals from Mexico.  I guess it's because I'm just thick, but, I don't get it.

First off the fence or wall to keep out the illegals isn't working.  I don't know what happened to the guard troops that were, for awhile anyway, keeping the illegals out, but they are not there anymore.  Several factors are at work causing this failure.

1.  Drug cartels are now in the illegal immigrant smuggling business.  Due to recent BIG drug busts, drug smugglers need a new source of income, and they can charge illegals up to $5,000 to smuggle them over the border.

2. "Stash Houses" or "drop houses" have been set up on the US side of the border to give illegals a place to live once they get over here.  This is called aiding and abetting a known criminal.  Law enforcement agencies know where these houses are located, but they do nothing about them.  Why can't  they be treated like crack houses or DWI cars, if they are caught the house or car is taken and sold by the police.  If we take and sell enough homes maybe that will put an end to them.

3.  Mexico is not co-operating to stop illegals from entering the US.  Illegals crossing into the US bribe Mexican (and perhaps US) border guards to look the other way. Once the illegals are here and working in the US, they send billions of US dollars back to their families in Mexico.  This money boosts the Mexican economy as well as paying for more illegals to enter into the US.

4.  Then there's our New Mexican Presidential candidate, Governor Bill Richardson.  He gives illegals anything they want here in New Mexico for free.  To the point that residents here can't get good medical care because hospitals are closing and physicians are moving away.  They can't refuse the illegals medical care because they'd be breaking the law, but no one is paying for the care.  You can't operate a hospital or doctor's office with no money coming in.  Folks have to buy homes here because the rental properties go to illegals, they pay no rent, and they wreck the properties.  Illegals get free drivers' licenses, drive junk uninsured cars, get in vehicle accidents that can sometimes result in vehicular homicide, and as a result are often times deported without paying for the damages.  The Latino gangs are destroying public schools which are forced to educate these kids, or try to educate them, for free (their parents do not pay property taxes).  They've taken over parts of the city, ruining businesses and properties, murdering innocent people who get in their way.  On top of this, Ford Corporation and the AARP are running ads on local TV totally in Spanish.  I want to hear commercials in English, if you want to do Spanish then go to the Spanish TV channels of which there are many here.  I'm making a list of companies who run Spanish TV ads on English channels and I don't intend to do business with them.

Now, my problem is with the march/demonstration illegals held this week.  They are having a fit because police ask a group of illegal demonstrators to move to the area that they had a permit to demonstrate in.  The illegals threw rocks and garbage at the police and the police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.  Here we have a LARGE group of people who are here illegally.  Why weren't they rounded up and taken to Immigration (arrested)?  Police were trying to keep them in one permitted area where speeches were being presented to back their cause.  The illegals threw rocks and trash at the police first.  The police decided it was time for them to disperse the demonstration.  These illegals should consider themselves lucky it was just tear gas and rubber bullets.  In the 1960s US citizens weren't so lucky when they didn't disperse--they were shot and killed by our wonderful National Guard troops.

 I'm just sick and tired of the illegals crying about our government not kissing their butts.  They are here illegally.  They have no rights under the US constitution.  They have no right to free rent, food, medical care or anything else here.  If they want to live in the US do it legally and get a job, pay taxes, and speak English.  I'm not advocating that we deport all illegal aliens.  There are too many here now for that to be an option.  I do believe that they should undergo background checks and anyone involved in criminal activities should be deported.  The remainder should go to classes and learn English and enough US history to pass the US citizenship test.  Then they should be placed on a list where all legal immigrants should go first to become US citizens.  While they are waiting, they get visas or green cards, get legal jobs, and pay their own way.  If a child is born in the US to a Mexican or Latino woman in the US illegally, the child gets a US birth certificate, they are both deported, and when the child is old enough to make choices for itself and it chooses to come to the US, they are given a US passport and can enter and live here.  No more free ride.  Illegals want to be here, they pay the price like all legal immigrants, naturalized citizens and US citizens.
