Ms. Bhutto

MY CONDOLENCES
TO
BENAZIR BHUTTO'S HUSBAND AND CHILDREN
AND
THE PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN
WHO SUPPORTED HER

I in no way support assassination as a means of changing one's government.  If you want to change your government, get out an vote.  If you want to change the government, become the government, run for office or support someone that will change things for you.  But, to assassinate someone, is not the way to do it.

I have listened to the news all day and Ms. Bhutto is being called a martyr for her cause.  I can't agree with that.  Ms. Bhutto left Pakistan because her government had become corrupt and charges were brought against her.  She came back to Pakistan to grab the opportunity that the present dictator presented for her to run for President again.  There are people in Pakistan that remember her tenure as Prime Minister and did not want her to regain that power.  Power corrupts, and great power corrupts great people.  Ms. Bhutto's life had been threatened many times, and she knew that she was taking a chance, but she took it and paid the ultimate price.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

MERRY CHRISTMAS
TO
MY FAMILY
AND
ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS
AND
A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Merry Christmas to the Nebraska Child Support Enforcement Office, Too

The second bunch of Christmas Scrooges I'd like to recognize are the idiots at the Nebraska Child Support Enforcement Office.  First they can't enforce the court order against my ex-husband, Lee Kent, because they claim they do not have any information to contact him.  Well, the state of New York must have the information because he's been making payment from 2003 until October 2007.  So, I have to go out and run my own background check on him to give them the information that they could obtain by doing the same background check themselves.  Seems that Lee Kent has everything in his wife's name, Laurie A. Kent (Marrs) to avoid paying his payments.  And, it seems that Lee Kent filed bankruptcy in 1997, which means that in October 2007 the bankruptcy came off his credit records and so he's probably now out there living it up again.  Now, if I can get all this information myself, why can't the State of Nebraska get it?

On top of that, my present husband, has two child support payments (about $1,200) taken out of his pay this month because the idiots at the Nebraska Child Support Enforcement Agency garnished his wages for his child support payment that he already has an allottment coming out of his pay.  Why the hell are you garnishing people's paychecks when they are already paying you each month?  But, you can't collect from folks that are not, and have not been paying you for years?

Why????  Because we are dealing with government idiots, that's why.  And, ex-husbands and ex-wives who think of no one but themselves, even at Christmas time.

It's Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas Eve in New Mexico and it's cold, but no snow.  President Bush has given federal employees the day off.  The Department of Energy is closed for the holiday as is Sandia National Laboratory.  Kirtland AFB federal employees and military members are making ready for the holidays with their families, not working today either.

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. is working.  Not at their desks in their offices because federal offices are CLOSED; but, from their computers at home.  Of course we're not working at our usual jobs, because Federal offices are CLOSED, but we have work we can take home and try to do with limited resources.  And, tomorrow is Christmas Day.  Federal offices are closed, the military members not engaged in war are home with their families enjoying the holiday.  Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. employees are told to take leave time or work from their homes.  What is this all about you might ask.  What company would make its employees take leave or work on Christmas?  Well here's our explaination.

The federal government gave it's employees a day off for Gerald Ford's funeral and the contractors took the day off too.  Well, the contract states that we get the 10 federal holidays off, this did not include Gerald Ford's funeral day, so we are one holiday too many of the year.  Now, if we take the President's Christmas Eve holiday that would make us 2 holidays over for the year.  So, we have to work today, and take leave tomorrow.  Also, last January 2007, some employees had to take snow days because they couldn't get in to work through those wonderful New Mexican snow days.  So, those employees are really over the holiday limit.  Those of us who had 4X4s and got into work, were called by the headquarters and told we had to find federal employees (who had the day off) to swear that we were at work (headquarters couldn't take our word that we had come in and actually produced work).

My problem with this situation is this:  Epsilon actually paid for a Christmas party of us this year (last year we didn't get anything for Christmas, and then they wait until 2 days before Christmas Eve to tell us that we had to work from home today and tomorrow unless we want to take leave time.  What about all the time that we have to stay late and finish work for the feds with no compensation?  What about the snow days we worked and were questioned about actually working?  What about the low wages we get compared to the feds we work with?  What about the fact that Epsilon employees who do not work in the federal offices of your contracts get Christmas Eve and Christmas Day without having to take leave (and that includes some employees who are suppose to be working in the feds offices but somehow get to work in the corporate offices because the feds can't stand them or their crappy work) they get these 2 days off.

I have one thing to say about Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc.  MERRY CHRISTMAS, YOU BUNCH OF SCROOGES!!!

Let's all brush up on Chinese

Once again China has bailed out the mortgage companies.  The big mortgage companies have been saved once again from total ruin by China.  Companies all over America are heard exhaling in relief.  But, what if the Chinese government decides to call in their loans?  What happens then?  Let's all brush up on our Chinese.

The Republican Debates

I must say that the Republican debate was as funny as the Democratic one.

I was really disappointed in Fred Thompson who said less than most with more words than most.  McCain said more with less, but nothing that I hadn't already heard.  I know that he has a very impressive military record, and he's not the only one held prisoner in Vietnam, but tell me something I don't already know.  Ron Paul was good, but not that good.  His ideas are too far out for a lot of folks.  Giuliani was at least truthful, he said he hadn't lead a perfect life, he wishes he had, but he'd learnt from his mistakes.  Well, if he has, he doesn't show it.  Ambassador Keyes was right on with his statements; however, he doesn't speak to the people, he preaches.  I for one do not want a preacher as president; I can be preached to by my mother, thanks.  Unfortunately, he wasn't the only preacher, let's take Huckabee.  Lots of good ideas, but he's also preaching to the choir.  Talk to folks and his presentation would go farther.  Romney has experience, knowledge, good presentation, but his constant references to his religion not playing a part, makes his religion a factor.  Hunter didn't impress me at all, I can't even remember his answers.  But, Tancredo really impressed me.  I'd never heard of him before the debate, but I really liked his responses.  He needs to learn how to present himself to the public, but if he ever does, he'll be good.

This past Sunday, I hosted an event for my local councilwoman who is up for re-election.  Most of my neighbors have opinions on the road paving, the wells we drink from, and the rains that washed out our roads a year ago.  So, we all got together and ask our councilwoman what was really going on and what she was voting for.  No surprise to me, she is only 1 councilperson out of seven and her one vote is constantly out voted by the others in the older parts of Rio Rancho.  We are going to end up paying from 6 to 15 thousand dollars to pave the roads, and she doesn't know if they are going to lay the infrastructure for city utilities.  We'll get curbs, but what about the drainage system we need in case of floods in the future--she doesn't know.  What about the retired folks out here that can't pay the 6-15 thousand--they will be forced to pay, the city will tack it on to their property taxes and charge them interest for 10 years.  In fact she didn't really show me much, except that she is interested in fixing the problems, but has no backing to get it done.  It was an interesting day.

The Disappearing CIA Tapes

I'm really sick and tired of hearing about the CIA tape that was destroyed recently.  Now it's General Hayden in a Congressional session explaining where it went; he wasn't there when it was made and he wasn't there when it was destroyed, but by God he better have the answers.

Let me tell you, when I worked for the Intelligence Agency I spent 1 day a week in the shredder room, destroying everything that wasn't nailed down.  I mean to tell you that we shredded everything, even phone messages and sticky notes.  Tapes were erased and taped over until they no longer worked and then they were incinerated.

Why?  Because we couldn't take the chance that things would fall into the wrong hands and because our government budget didn't allow us to buy new supplies on a regular basis.  Yeah, that's right if the terrorists weren't out to kill us, the government was sticking it to us.

Another one bites the dust

This last shopping mall shooter, and I'm not going to mention his name here, bites the dust.  My daughter lives in Omaha and shops at Westroads Mall occasionally, so when they posted the CNN headlines, I grabbed my cellphone.  I didn't get ahold of her until late that evening.  Panic, what is thy name.  It's not a good feeling wondering if someone you care about has been the victim of some crazy shooter.

Well, thank the Gods that she is okay.  I feel for the people, employees of the store and the random shoppers, that died.  I really can't fathom why anyone feels that they have to take innocent souls with them when they end their own life.  This guy felt that he had to be famous and the media has granted his wish.  Well, lone shooter, welcome to the hell that you have created for yourself, bet you wish you were so famous now.

The National Intelligence Report

I found myself a copy of the National Intelligence Report that is the talk of the nation and I sat down and read it cover to cover.  I don't know who released the unclassified section to the public but they sure made a mess of what it really said.

The report states that Iran has not had a "Declared" nuclear program since 2003.  That is true.  They haven't declared they program to the world, that I know of anyway.  It said that Iran continues to enrich uranium.  This is true.  They are enriching it to build a nuclear weapon with the help of Russia and China.  The report states that the United States does not have anyone on the ground in Iran to verify what Iran is or is not doing. And, this too is partly true.  If we admitted to having intelligence personnel on the ground in Iran, they wouldn't be alive very long.

So, to put it bluntly, we do not know, first hand what Iran is up to, but Iran is still dangerous.

And, the hits just keep on coming

My first bitch tonight is about the state of Nebraska Child Support Office.  They can't seem to find the time to talk to me about my lack of child support payment last month; however, they have the time to send my present husband a letter.  He has paid his child support through Nebraska for the last 17 years, on time, every month with an allotment from his Air Force retirement pay.  Now all of a sudden, Nebraska is garnishing his present employer because he has taken a civil service position.  What the hell is going on in Nebraska?  Guess since I sent Nebraska's Governor an e-mail, I might get an answer to that question.

Second is this so-called Intelligence report that Iran is not building a nuclear bomb.  I don't know which 16 agencies signed this report, but it's bull crap.  Iran has China and Russia helping them and they are still building a bomb to go with their new long-range missile.  And, anyone out there that thinks they aren't is as crazy as this report.  On top of that, when you can get 16 intelligence agencies to all agree on one subject, it will be a cold day in hell.  I speak from experience.

Third, I listened to today's radio debate on talk radio and the only ones making sense were Clinton, Obama, and Huckabee.  The others are way out there and can't make it home.  Governor Richardson was not on the debate, but I already know he's nuts.  I liked Senator Bidden until he made a few stupid observations today, so he's out of there too.

Guess it's time to go to bed and sleep on it.

Miss-named Teddy Bear?

Sudan has granted a pardon to Gillian Gibbons after convicting her for letting her students name a stuffed bear "Mohammad."  Well, isn't that big of Sudan, the so called democracy; or should I state the truth??--theocracy.  The key to this story is that Ms. Gibbons let her students name the teddy bear and they named it after someone they loved--Mohammad.

Why is it that millions of Muslims have the name "Mohammad" as either a first or last name and none of them are being thrown in jail?  How are any of these human beings better or more important than a child's stuffed teddy bear?

For that matter why can so many people on this globe be named Jesus and get away with that?  How many religious relics and souvenirs are named--Jesus, the Virgin Mary, Saint Francis, Saint Peter, etc?  Why aren't the Christians rioting in the streets?  Why don't we jail the Pope for allowing these items to be sold at the Vatican?

Now, maybe we should line up everyone in the world named "Mohammad" or "Jesus" and stone them or cut off their heads.  By Allah, we'll fix all of them!!!

But, seriously folks, who named this famous Teddy Bear--the teacher of the children?  Maybe the Sudanese should now stone the children.

Personally, I do not see anything wrong with what these children, or the teacher, did.  In fact, I have a collection of stuffed animals and I have decided to name them too.  (See photo)  Starting from the right, back row, we have--Mohammad Mohammad (the whale), Mohammad Ali (the cow), Allah (the teddy bear), Jesus (the lion), Buddah (the rhino), skipping Rosey and Coco we move to the front row, the Virgin Mary (the panda), God (the tiger), Saint Francis (Tiger), and Jehovah (the cheetah).  Hopefully, I didn't leave any religion out because I want to offend all of them.
