Integrity! 12月26日 WantedWanted--People With Integrity
For New Year 2007--I'd like to submit a call for people with Integrity to leave comments on my blog. Why? Because I haven't been able to find very many and I'd like to know where all of them are located.
Integrity defined by the Cambridge Dictionary as--the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that they refuse to change.
One of the original, great things about America and Americans was that they had Integrity. Yes sir, America and Americans had strong moral principles that they refused to change and they were for the most part honest. America was founded by immigrants who refused to change their principles to fit those of the European Crowns. They had religious morals, and they refused to change those religious principles, and for that, they were thrown out of Europe. Thrown out of the only part of the world, at that time, recognized as civilized and made to travel miles in less than decent conditions to a part of the world no one really knew anything about.
But, they had Integrity and they stood up to the challenge.
These immigrants founded a new nation, one with hopes and ideals that forestood the trials and tribulations of thousands of immigrants, from all corners of the world, melting into one cohesive unit. One nation with multiple religions--one nation with peoples of all nationalities, learning and speaking one language, English--one nation of peoples with Integrity.
Where has that Integrity gone? That is my question. The United States of America has lost all prospective of Integrity.
Our elected government officials--those that we, the people, voted to represent us, have lost their sense of honesty and strong moral principles. They speak one line to our faces and live another behind our backs. Our friends, and sadly, in some cases, members of our own families, have no sense of Integrity. We are faced with groups of individuals who would covet and steal from us instead of putting in an honest day's work to purchase material goods of their own. Our nation, founded on the principles that we would defend ourselves and our allies from enemies, but never invade others without provocation, has sunk to being the aggressor in another nation's affairs.
I am looking for people with Integrity--honest people who possess strong moral principles that they refuse to change. If you are one of those people, leave me a comment. |
