    And, so it goes

Tonights drive home was--well lets just say that the crazies were out--and I was stuck in a traffic jam again.  But, it gave me time to hear the nightly news on the radio.

I'm sorry to hear about Shawn Taylor, player on the Redskins football team, who was shot in the leg during a home robbery and died as a result.  Now, I'm not sure if I have the story straight; however, his girlfriend's story is that she and Shawn were asleep in the bedroom when someone knocked on the door and then fired 2 shots through the door, one hitting Shawn in the leg.  If this is the correct story, I have some questions.  Were they sleeping with the door locked?  Why would a robber knock on the door?  Why didn't the robber(s) just burst in and then fire the shots?  Why would they shoot through a closed door?  I've investigated a lot of incidents in my career, but I've never heard of a polite (knocking) robber, nor one that shoots without provocation, as the time of the incident or maybe at a previous time and that's why he's there.  Sounds more like a staged to look like robbery (i.e., OJ Simpson).

I heard that college students in South Carolina are in trouble because they posted flyers about a movie (Obsession) and discussion they were having.  The flyers' headline was "Radical Muslims Want You Dead."  I haven't seen the movie, Obsession, but I think the title tells it all.  The group upset about the flyer is said to be Peaceful Muslims.  Okay, my question is why aren't these peaceful Muslims protesting the "RADICAL" Muslims?  RADICAL Muslims do want Americans dead unless we convert to Islam.  I think that Americans need to wake up and smell the roses (Muslims) before it's too late.

And, lastly, the Iranian President has volunteered to come here next November and monitor American voting to see if we really want to get rid of the present administration.  Apparently he doesn't know anything about the American system of government.  President Bush can not be re-elected, he can only serve 8 years.  Next year Americans have to elect a new person as president.  Whether it will be another Republic or a Democrat remains to be seen.  So--I think that we should invite him to monitor our voting, let Jimmy Carter who has monitored voting throughout the world host him, and maybe he can learn how our government works and his does not.  Sure, Mr. President of Iran, come on over we'd love to have you monitor our voting.  In fact, if I'm not busy, I'd love to give you an American History and Political Science lesson, or maybe you could just read my blog.

It Was Too Good To Be True

Well, it didn't last long.  What am I talking about?  The Dead Beat Dad paying his years of back child support.  My ex-husband is suppose to send $100 a month to pay his $50,000 back child support.  No check this month.  And, Nebraska can't do anything until it's exactly 1 month late.  So, if anyone out there knows Leland Terry Kent from Jamestown, NY, let him know that unless he's dead, I'll be taking him to court again in 12 days.

Creative Design vs The Theory of Evolution

Yep, here we go again.  Rio Rancho is holding a council meeting on whether to teach Creative Design in our schools.

I guess that I went to school during the "Dark Ages."  We were taught, first of all, that a theory was an hypothesis that had been proven to be true, through experimentation, in a laboratory.  Now, since no one has been able to prove, through experimentation (no monkeys have been turned into humans), The Theory of Evolution is not a theory, but an hypothesis.  The same holds true for Creative Design (or as I was taught, the Biblical story of creation).  At least I haven't heard of a devine being creating human life in a laboratory.

We were taught, in school, all of the ideas of how man came to being and we were told that we had to decide for ourselves which one we believed.  Yes, people, we were told to make a decision of our own.

I just don't understand the problem with this issue.  Theories, hypotheses, ideas, they all change with time.  We were also told that Homosapiens decended from Neanderthal man, and now we know that isn't true, the co-existed in Europe for many years.  We were taught the Polar Shift and now that is too harsh to teach children.  Children are no longer taught the history of our country because they might understand the freedoms that we have lost along the way; and the freedoms we are loosing even as we speak.

I don't know what the hell is going on with our school systems, but we need to but a stop to it.  Teach our children the truth, what ever it may be, and the hypotheses of how humans came to be, and let them decide for themselves--they are capable of making a decision.

    Black Friday Shopping

I decided to get out of bed about 7AM and drive down to JC Penney's to take advantage of the early bird special on jeans.  They had advertised women's pettite size jeans that actually come up to the waist and I figured I'd buy some.  Now, the store opened at 4AM, so I arrived about 8-8:30.  I didn't have a real problem finding a parking slot and figured the early crowd was probably gone by now.  WRONG!  The lines at the registers were way down the lanes, you couldn't walk around and really look at things because of the people, the kids in gang dress standing around speaking spanish and eyeing the girls, people shoving, it was ridicules.  I finally found the jeans, grabbed two pairs and got in a line.  I couldn't wait to get out of the store and the mall.

I've been thinking about trading in my Jeep for a 4X4 truck, so I drove over to the car dealership and it was almost, not quite, but almost as crowded.  I gave up and came home.  Who ever thought of this 4AM, day after Thanksgiving, sale anyway?

    The Democratic Debate

I was driving home from work when this last Democratic debate came on the radio.  I was going to tune it out, but then decided to listen.  In fact it was interesting enough to continue listening when I got home.  Now, I'm an Independent, but I usually vote for the candidate that shares my agenda.

At least this last time Hillary Clinton was defending her agenda and not complaining because these guys were picking on her because she's a woman.  And, I didn't hear Bill in the background defending her opinions.  However, after her mess with Janet Reno and the public affairs, hatchet job on Bill's girlfriends, I really can't think of anything she could do to get me to vote for her (let's not mention the social medical coverage).

I was disappointed in Obama.  When ask about drivers licenses for illegals, he didn't seem to want to say "YES," he just wanted to beat around the bush.  I want someone who will voice their opinions and take the heat if they feel that they are right.

I think that Senator Bidden did the best job of debating.  I especially liked his "Hell no,' when ask if he'd support whoever won the Democratic nomination.  At least he was honest.

When ask if they would choose defending the homeland or human rights first, everyone answered defend the homeland except Bill Richardson, which goes to show where his loyalties lay.  When ask about incentive bonuses for outstanding teachers, most answered that the starting pay for teachers should be raised first.  I liked Senator Bidden's answer, since his wife is a teacher, that teachers should do as much continuing education as they can and not expect a Bachelor's degree to be enough.

Which brings me to our New Mexico Governor, Bill Richardson.  He admitted that we already give illegals drivers licenses here and he thought that teachers should be paid more money.  His answer about human rights being more important than defending our homeland sucked--but I honestly think that he believes that (maybe that's because he was raised in Mexico).  It's just too bad that Bill Richardson doesn't run our state the way he says he'd run the country.  If he did maybe crime wouldn't be rampant here in New Mexico, maybe we'd have good teachers, and maybe we'd vote for him for President.  But, as things stand right now, I wouldn't vote for Bill Richardson nor any of the other candidates, Democratic or Republican.

It's time for a new political party in America, one that is in touch with the citizens of this country, and a presidential candidate that wouldn't take bribes, wouldn't give the country away to the illegals, and one that would put criminals in jail and leave them there or not be afraid to enforce the death penalty.  I want to know where to signup for the American Party.

    Global Warming

Folks, if I have to hear another briefing on Global Warming--I think I'll puke.  Don't get me wrong--I know that humans have contributed significantly to world pollution.  The air, the water, and the soil.  Yeah, yeah Al Gore received a Nobel Prize for his movie on Global Warming--good for him.  Lets face it burning coal during the Industrial Age, was well as in today's third world countries, is a real pollutant; but--there is Global Warming taking place on Mars.  There is no human life on Mars--is there?

Global Warming is taking place because the sun is slowly burning out.  Wait, wait--I'm not saying that the sun in going to burn out anyday now--it will take millions of years.  But, by then I'm hoping that Al's movie and all the government briefings will have burnt out too.

    Isreal and Syria

So Isreal has given Syria 72 hours to get out of its territory or else.  If this was 20, 30, or even 40 years ago I'd be waiting for the sound of Jewish bombs and airplanes; however, the last Isreali payback in Lebanon has shown me that Isreal is as the US.  Mostly bark and no bite.  Oh, I believe that Isreal will make a move to backup their threat, but it will really surprise me if the outcry from the UN and/or surrounding countries (and probably the US) would keep Isreal on the payback trail.  It's just like the US in Iraq--if military leaders like Ike, Patton, McArthur, etc., were still running the show--the Desert War would have been over long before now.  Don't bother to plug your ears--the fuse is already fizzling.

    Salute to the Military

I'd Like to Salute the US Military

America is the Land of the Free
    Because of the Brave!

Thanks to all the Military members out there
Where would we be without you?

    The World in General

I'd like to thanks those who sent me e-mails and left comments concerning my mother.  She had 5 treatments up in Buffalo, NY with the cancer specialist who treated Gilda Radner, and the doctor says my mother is fine.  She'll go back for checkups for quite awhile, but as stubborn as she is, I think that's she'll out live me.

I've been very busy and have missed making comments on many world issues, so, I'll attempt to catch up.  First I'd like to say that I haven't found a presidential candidate that I like yet.  I'm really tired of hearing about Hillary Clinton.  First she says that she is running on her own merits and then she runs to her husband Bill and get's him to defend her.  Anyone with any sense knows that she ran a lot of the mess at the White House while he was president and I for one do not need a repeat of the Clinton years.  I like Obama, but I don't think that he has enough experience to run the show.  Guilianni is out in left field and can't find his way home and Bloomberg is out there with him.  I thought that Fred Thompson might be good, but it turns out that I don't like his agenda either.  Some of these guys like McCain just never give up, stop running guys we've heard enough from ya already.  Isn't there anyone out there with a good agenda?

The other day I was listening to talk radio and Condie Rice was on talking about Pakistan.  She said that the United States is going to standby this young democracy because we know that it will make it.  Ms. Rice I don't know which reality you are living in; however, Pakistan is not now, nor has it been a democracy.  When you have a dictator running around in a military uniform terrorizing the citizens, declaring marshall law, having the military rounding up citizens and placing people under house arrest, That is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship!  Why Ms. Butto ever thought this guy was going to share power with her if she came back to Pakistan, I'll never know.   Besides Ms. Bhutto had to leave the country because she was being investigated a criminal herself.  Standing behind this so-called democracy is the dumbest thing the US can do.  So, wake up Ms. Rice and get your head out of the clouds.  I wouldn't vote for you for President either.

I hope that you folks listened to French President Nicholas Sarkozy,s speech, because that man knows more about US history than most Americans.  It will be a long way to reforms, but a much better France  with this man in power.  Way better than Jacques Chirac.  Most Eurpeons that I met in Europe didn't hate Americans, but they did not like our government.  And, I think that they had good reasons.

President Bush has been talking with Canadian, Latin American, and some South American heads of state about forming a federation like the European Union.  I will say that this is one of the best ideas that he's had; however, I don't see it happening in the near future.  Especially as long as idiots like Chavez in Venezuala and Castro in Cuba are in power.  America has made too many enemies with it's arrogant ways.  However, with Russia and China forming their alliance and the Euro being so strong against the dollar, we are going to have to make big changes in our ways in order to economically survive in the world.

Now to Iran--Iran has been at war with the US since the fall of the shah--not a declared war, but war nonetheless.  American presidents since Jimmy Carter have looked the other way and tried to placate Iran to no avail.  America has talked big, made threats, and offered a big bag of incentives to try to keep Iran from getting the nuclear bomb.  In return Iran has suppored terrorists, furnished arms to our enemies in Afghanistan and Iraq, and yet we still try to talk to these Mullahs.  Instead of invading Iran, we invade Iraq and have managed to make one heck of a mess in the Middle East.  It's not just the terrorists in Iraq that we are fighting, it's Syria, Jordan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Afghanistan, and who knows who else that are involved in this so called war.  Wars are fought to get something that someone else has, that's is the way it has been from the begining of human life on this planet.  Now, here comes America, going to fight a NICE war to liberate a people who do not want us liberating them--can't hurt anyone--can't be bad to any culture--can't let our soldiers fight because they might hurt someone and if they do, we're going to put them on trial and throw these kids into jail for the rest of their lives, can't distroy any property--can't do this--can't do that--this is not a war it's a show.  Only, the other players fight dirty, they blow people and property up, they kill anyone and everyone in their way, they sneak around in the night and the bright of day planting road side bombs to kill, they pay their citizens to strap bombs to their bodies and kill themselves and others, they take hostages and behead them on TV, this my friends is a real war.  If America doesn't want to fight a real war, then they should get the heck out of the situation, because as soon as the Iranians get the nulcear bomb, and China and Russia are helping them do that, they are not going to be like us, they are going to use it on Isreal first the then the US.  Wake up folks, because this isn't a game over there and it just keeps getting worse everyday.
